The original dates from the 17th century. In 1868, it was bought by Agostino Sbertoli, who wanted to create a health facility for wealthy families.
During the Second World War, the complex was occupied with political prisoners. After this period, in 1951 it was transformed into a public psychiatric hospital. In 1978 it was finally closed and abandoned since then.
Unfortunately, the villa was covered in graffiti by the time we visited her. That’s why I didn’t take any pictures of it, but there was still plenty of interest left to capture. The prison block and the morgue.
