Kraftwerk P.

This location was a legal visit. Sometimes that happens when it’s really something we don’t want to miss.

We don’t care at all whether something is illegal or sneaky, we just want to capture the beauty of decay.

On a sweltering day, we would meet the concierge at the power station and were given as long as we needed to roam around inside. She opened the door and locked it behind us and we had to call her when we were done. She herself worked there for years in the heyday of the power station and she still lives nearby.

We were amazed by everything we found inside, all kinds of different spaces. A boiler room with ovens, a control room, large storage (where carnival cars of the local association were stored). There was also a large freight train outside where the coal for the power station was brought in.

We had a great time…
