All the beautiful old dilapidated monasteries stand on lonely mountain peaks, including this beautiful example.
At the bottom of the mountain, we had parked the car somewhat sheltered and started walking. It was a nice walk in lovely summer weather. Arriving there it seemed as if we were expected because the doors of the monastery and the church were both open.
We spent quite a few hours here and if we hadn’t had to leave to do the rest of the planning that day, we would have been there for a whole day.
