Castello Cascina Alluvioni

This empty castle is in the middle of nowhere. Our stay in Italy was during a very green period and that meant that the nettles and blackberry bushes had grown at least 2 meters high and we had to cut through them.

It was built in a special way because if you stand in the middle of the castle and look out the back door through the gate in the castle wall further on, you will see a small chapel exactly 500 meters further in the middle of the cornfield.

There’s a good chance someone important might be buried there, but I don’t know because I didn’t go see it.
