German ballrooms are often spectacular, that was certainly the case for this one. I say was because it completely burned down not long ago.
I have been able to visit a few but not as big as this one. Many fires had raged over the years and the entire building was covered with graffiti from top to bottom. I’m glad I was there in a reasonable time, but I would have been there 10 years earlier.
You had to take every step carefully or you would end up in the basement because everything was rotten or missing.
